Beautiful Borders

This class will require the book "Borders the Basics and Beyond" by Jill Reber. This book is a spectacular reference that should be in every quilters library. The book will be available in the shop for a discounted price prior to the class. Learn simple techniques that make a world of difference to your borders. Your quilts will thank you and you will absolutely LOVE the results.
Class Supplies:
Book: "Borders, the Basics and Beyond" by Jill Reber
Sewing machine, basic sewing supplies, thread, rotary cutter, marking tools, new sewing machine needle, pre-wound bobbins
Minimum three contrasting fabrics
Fabric A: 1/2 yard print or medium-tone fabric
Fabric B: 1/2 yard fabric
Fabric C: 1-yard fabric for mitered border
Pre-Class Cutting Directions:
Fabric A: (print)
Cut one 12.5" square (for center of sample quilt) or use your completed paper piecing project; or bring a 12.5" unfinished quilt square block
Cut four 4.5" squares
Fabric B:
Cut two 4.5" WOF strips
Fabric C:
Cut four 6.5" WOF strips
Cut tow 2.5: WOF strips
Bring leftover fabric to class for practicing quick strip-pieced borders as time permits.
